World Expos, officially known as International Registered Exhibitions, are global events designed to foster innovation, cultural exchange, and international cooperation. The first World Expo, known as the Great Exhibition, was held in London in 1851, and since then, these events have continued to showcase groundbreaking advancements and address pressing global challenges. Organized under the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), World Expos occur every five years, offering nations a platform to present their achievements and future aspirations.
The Ministry of Commerce (MoC) of Cambodia actively participates in World Expos, constructing the Cambodia Pavilion to highlight the country’s economic potential, cultural heritage, and investment opportunities. At Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, Cambodia’s pavilion will be inspired by the ancient Koh Ker Temple, symbolizing the nation’s deep historical roots and forward looking development. Visitors will experience a showcase of Cambodia’s dynamic trade landscape, featuring key industries such as agriculture, textiles, handicrafts, and processed foods.
The pavilion will serve as a hub for business networking, trade promotion, and cultural exchange, facilitating meaningful partnerships between Cambodian businesses and global stakeholders. Through its participation, Cambodia aims to enhance its global visibility, attract foreign investment, and promote sustainable development, reinforcing its role as an emerging trade and investment hub in Southeast Asia.
Mission: The Cambodia Pavilion aims to promote Cambodia's cultural heritage, economic, trade, tourism, investment potential, and sustainable development initiatives on a global stage. The pavilion seeks to foster international collaboration and showcase Cambodia's unique contributions to the world through engaging exhibits, cultural performances, and business networking opportunities.
Vision: The pavilion envisions a future where Cambodia is recognized as a key player in global trade, investment, and cultural exchange. Our goal is to position Cambodia as a vibrant, innovative, and sustainable nation deeply rooted in its cultural traditions while embracing modern advancements.
